The practical detail on IMAC's metal ceilings, cladding and sun louvers — materials, finishes, installation and how we work.

Products & systems
What is a metal false ceiling?
A metal false ceiling is a suspended ceiling built from metal panels — galvanized steel or aluminium — hung on a concealed carrier or grid below the structural slab. It gives a clean, durable finish, hides services like ducting and wiring, and (on most systems) the panels lift out for access and maintenance.
Which ceiling systems does IMAC offer?
IMAC makes nine systems. For interiors: Linear (round-edge), Linear Multi-Panel (square-edge grooved), U-Shape Baffle, Open Cell, Lay-In Tile and Clip-In Tile. For exteriors: Sun Louvers, Exterior Cladding and U-Shaped Baffle Louvers. Every system is custom-fabricated to the project's specification.
Should I choose galvanized steel or aluminium?
Both are available on most systems. Galvanized steel is strong and cost-effective and suits the majority of interior projects. Aluminium is lighter and naturally corrosion-resistant, which makes it a good choice for large spans and exterior applications. Our team recommends the right material for your project.
What is the maximum panel length?
Most linear ceilings, cladding and sun louvers are made in lengths up to 5 metres. U-shape baffle systems run up to 3 metres. Panels are cut to the project's setting-out, so runs are kept clean and continuous.
Are the panels removable for maintenance?
Yes. Linear, baffle and lay-in systems use demountable panels that lift out individually, so services above the ceiling stay accessible. Clip-in tiles give a flush, concealed look and are removed with a clip tool when access is needed.
Materials & finishes
What finishes and colours are available?
Exposed surfaces carry a 55-micron powder coat, or a 25-micron polyester coil coat over primer with a primer coat on the rear. Finishes are available in standard and custom RAL colours, plus wood-grain options; exterior systems use a dirt- and weather-resistant coating. We can send finish samples on request.
Are IMAC systems suitable for outdoor / facade use?
Yes. Exterior Cladding, Sun Louvers and U-Shaped Baffle Louvers are made for facades, with a special powder-coat finish that resists dirt and humidity. They fix horizontally or vertically on a multi-space carrier system.
What performance does a metal ceiling provide?
Across the range, IMAC systems offer corrosion resistance, fire classification, easy cleaning, light reflectance, acoustic performance, humidity resistance, anti-microbial properties and green-building credentials.
Working with IMAC
Do you supply only, or also install?
Both. IMAC offers supply-only or full supply-and-install, on site anywhere in India, with a dedicated technical representative assigned to your project from specification through to handover.
Do you provide CAD blocks and technical drawings for architects?
Yes. We provide CAD blocks, DXF files and installation drawings on request so the system can be dropped straight into your drawing set. See the For Architects page, or ask our team.
Where is IMAC based, and where do you deliver?
IMAC Architectural Ceiling manufactures in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and supplies and installs across India.
How do I get a quote or samples?
Send us the system and the project through the contact form or by phone, and our technical team responds within 24 hours with drawings, finishes and project pricing.
